I am trying to help the guy that is having problems with the game but you come on here and start to run your mouth. Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel® Core™ i5-2400S or 4.0 GHz AMD FX-8350 or better; Memory: 8 GB RAM; Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 or AMD Radeon R9 290X or better (2 GB VRAM) DirectX: Version 11; Network: Broadband Internet connection; Storage: 30 GB available space; Sound Card: DirectX-compatible (5.1 surround sound recommended) Since about a year ago I haven't been able to launch the game. Tried playing with the Compatibility options in properties, verifying files, uninstalling, reinstalling, reinstalling windows, messing with windows defender, but none of that worked. But I can't for the life of me figure out if it's a compatibility issue or something simple I'm missing. re install uplay. log in SHUT OFF THE UPLAY IN GAME OVERLAY if your not gonna use it. definetly SHUT OFF THE UPLAY CLOUD SAVE SETTINGS. exit uplay. restart steam. restart your game. if it still fails to launch its your PC..sorry man.

-Change resolution to windowed (borderless) mode. won't affect your game in any way but it's a common workaround with many games (e.g. company of heroes) All of above made my game launch every time. Good luck !

Hello yayiz. Here is what I usually do when a game doesn’t start with steam automatically: I had the same issue with CS:GO for some time. Restarting Steam one or two times solved the problem most the time.
yeah i saw it. I have deleted litteraly every folder containing far cry in its name. Ive deleted far cry and the map editor. ive deleted so many folders, S-1-5-21 does not even exist in my registry anymore. ive lost hope man my game is gone.
